Noble Caledonia’s MS Hebridean Sky Docks in Addu for Memorable Visit

Today marked a significant and colorful event for Addu as the luxury cruise ship MS Hebridean Sky, operated by Noble Caledonia, arrived in the beautiful atolls of Addu. The vessel docked in Addu waters and passengers were welcomed at Maradhoo harbor this morning, where it was warmly greeted by Addu City’s Mayor and council members, marking the start of a memorable visit for the passengers aboard the 118-passenger, all-suite ship.

The welcoming ceremony was a lovely sight organized by Maradhoo Avashu Office, showcasing the cultural heritage of Addu. Visitors were treated to vibrant, traditional dance performances and displays of traditional craft work, allowing them to experience the beauty of the Maldives both through movement and artistry. The warm hospitality of the locals made it clear that Addu is ready to embrace international visitors, showcasing not only its natural beauty but also its rich cultural traditions.

Approximately 100 tourists, predominantly from the UK, disembarked and set off to explore the stunning locales of Addu. Organized by Manta Expeditions, a local group dedicated to marine conservation and eco-tourism, the guests had the opportunity to discover the island’s rich diversity. Their journey included a visit to the Addu Nature Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, which highlights the lush landscapes and unique biodiversity of the region. The tour also featured a stop at the Koshidhorage Addu Heritage House, where visitors admired a variety of historical and cultural artifacts, offering a glimpse into Addu’s rich heritage.
