The 15th World Bodybuilding and Physique Sports Championships along with the electoral congress concluded in grand style this weekend at the stunning Canareef Resort in the Maldives, attracting 377 athletes and 150 delegates from 41 countries. Known for its exclusive villas, lush tropical greenery and turquoise lagoons, the Canareef Resort was transformed into a world-class venue, providing the perfect backdrop for this prestigious competition.
Held from November 5th to 11th, the event showcased the unparalleled dedication, discipline, and artistry that define the world of bodybuilding and physique sports. Set against a backdrop of crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches, the competition offered a seamless blend of athleticism, glamour, and natural beauty. The 2024 edition marked a significant milestone, as the Maldives emerged as a new global destination for such a high-profile event, adding an exotic and refreshing atmosphere to the fierce competition on stage. The competition featured several categories, including Men’s and Women’s Bodybuilding, Classic Physique, Men’s and Women’s Physique, and swimsuit Fitness, each celebrating different aspects of physique excellence. Athletes competed not only for titles but also to display the immense dedication and hours of training that go into perfecting their physiques. India’s Saravanan Mani reclaimed the Mr. Universe title.
